Hemchandra Chunder

Hemchandra Chunder (* 1907, † unknown) was an Indian film director and producer.

His film debut, he had actors in 1931 as BN Sircars short film company "International Film Craft" in Prafulla Roy cHash Meye, his directorial debut was in 1935 in co-directing withPremankur Atorthy. Chunder was from 1935 to 1948 in New Theaters of the main Hindi movie director when attempting the conquest of the West Indian market. His second directingKarodpati (1936) is one of the best-known musicals with the actor and singer Kundan Lal Saigal. By Anath Ashram (1937) was one of the Chunder successful adaptations of Bengali literature in the Hindi film of the 1930s. In author Sailajananda Mukherjee film written on remarriage of widows was also Prithviraj Kapoor.

The actress Meera Mishra founded Hemchandra Chunder late 1940s, the film company "HM Prod" and was independent producer of his films.
